Francis McGovern is the President of Qlegal and is responsible for delivering client results. Francis has been working in marketing and with Search Engines and in online marketing since 1998. Previously, he was a Product Manager at The Search Engine Lycos, where he worked on the My Lycos product. Francis was responsible for the daily management of the Lycos Network’s suite of premier personalization products. He helped to create and implement several successful customer acquisition programs that increased user retention for the over 4-million member My Lycos Database.
After Lycos, Francis was the Director of Search Engine Optimization at Backbone Media. At the firm, Francis built the search engine optimization business including sales, marketing and the client strategy team. Francis managed the team that delivered results for both public and private companies.
Francis has also worked in public broadcasting and print media. Websites that he has developed and marketed have received coverage in major national media including The USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and National Public Radio and all major search engines.
Francis has been working directly with Law Firms and attorneys to improve their practice areas since 2003 and founded Qlegal in 2007 to help law firms area with ongoing legal marketing and support.
Francis has attended many major search engine conferences including Search Engine Strategies and Webmaster World. He has been a speaker at a number of educational Conferences including the WhippleHill UC conference, NAIS and has lead numerous webinars on SEO. He is also the founder of LiteraryTraveler.com and lives in Concord, MA with his wife and four children.
