One system that works successfully for many clients, is if they mentally set aside 10% of their time for marketing. This is just enough to make a commitment, but then not too much to overwhelm them and it’s something that if they don’t finish one month they can carry on to the next. Consistency is key in SEO and a marker of future progress.
What I’ve seen work really well is when a firm or Practice Group has a few attorneys involved in the effort. This means that they meet about it, discuss it, and brainstorm what topics are most relevant to their clients. What content does their audience want? And they add that to the pipeline of new content that they work on. It’s consistent and frequent.
This may be a combination of new landing pages about services or blogs about newsworthy events that are happening and can be fodder for social media posts. On our end we’re optimizing new content as it goes up on the website adding keywords and linking it into other relevant areas of the site.
And we take the majority of that and run it through a social media stream both for the firm’s main pages but then also through each individual attorneys Linkedin Network. This includes about 70% external particles in about 20 to 30% of their own articles.
What this does is create momentum but also adds to a strong content footprint where is a site is constantly being updated and optimized. This system will help your law firm achieve SEO results.
